One of Field Day's areas of expertise is employee communications. In the same way that we bridge the emotional gap between a company's brand and its customers, we also understand how to build lasting relationships between a company and its employees. We examine the company's corporate values and mission, and then define and develop communication programs that will carry the company's message to its employees in relevant, meaningful ways. Through words, visuals, and the choice of communication vehicles, we help to shape the corporate culture.
Field Day has developed employee communication programs for companies as diverse as Pharmacia and priszm brandz (KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut).
Most recently, Field Day developed and produced the Employee Playbook for Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. This 60 page, full colour handbook was distributed to all company employees. It is a thorough compendium of the company's policies, procedures, and protocols. Some of the topics include the company’s visions & values, communication, company culture, and safety & security.
Field Day's challenge was to organize a vast amount of information in a way that was accessible and easily digestible. It was imperative that employees view the Playbook as a valued resource, rather than an unwieldy doorstop. Field Day recommended a pocket-sized format which limited the amount of text on each page, so that reader were not overwhelmed by visual "grey space" (large blocks of text). Field Day organized the content into logical categories and developed custom tabbed dividers to allow immediate access to pertinent information.
The end result is an official document that reflects MLSE's industry-leading dedication to open communication and employee well-being.
