It's Tinker Time gave our clients, suppliers and Field Day staff a chance to stretch their creative muscles over the holidays, which came in particularly handy after eating too much turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy.
Lateral thinking (and plain silliness) was evident in all of the entries we received; you can view them by selecting "It's Tinker Time" from the menu on the right.
It took much deliberation to pick a winner, and in the end it came down to a single tie-breaking vote. (FYI, there were no hanging chads and we will not entertain demands for a recount.)
The winning Tinker Time entry:
Title: CNE Ferris Wheel
Entrant: David Bednar, Canadian National Exhibition
David combined the Tinker Time kits of a few CNE staff members to create a working model of the CNE ferris wheel, augmented with what appears to be pipe cleaners. Not only did he send us still photos of his entry, but he also videotaped it in action. Now that's commitment!
David will receive a full 250-piece Tinker Time set for his efforts. (In return, we expect to see a working model of the Flyer roller coaster.)
Thanks again to all of the entrants for your enthusiasm and sense of invention!
