Toronto agency Field Day Inc. has launched a new online communications initiative for their client, Warner Home Video Canada. Field Day Inc. was hired to develop a web-based database and email deployment system to inform Warner’s retail customers about new product releases and product updates.
Warner typically announces dozens of new products each week. In the past, announcements were prepared manually, and there was no central repository for product data.
The new Product Announcement System allows Warner staff to enter product information into a database via an online interface. An HTML email overview of the current announcements is automatically generated and delivered to retail customers three times per week.
Customers may click through to view the full details of each announcement via their web browser. The system automatically generates printable PDFs of each announcement, and customers may download the tab-delimited data to import into their own databases. Customers may also search, print and download all past announcements.
The system also includes administrative features that allow Warner staff to track customer click-through rates and easily maintain the customer database.
“Quality and timeliness of communication with our customers is crucial to our business,” says David Moffatt. “Field Day understood the strategic nature of our business and how our customers think and work. They built a system that vastly improves the workflow for both our customers and Warner staff.”
