The Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) has chosen Toronto agency Field Day Inc. to redevelop its website.

The MTCC is Canada's largest convention centre with 460,000 square feet of exhibit space. It plays a key role in driving economic development in the GTA by hosting conventions, trade shows, business meetings, and events for an international audience.

Andrew Arntfield, President of Field Day, outlines the goals of the new site: "One of the primary objectives of the website is to meet the needs of the MTCC's key audiences – meeting planners, exhibitors and the general public – and to provide them with the necessary tools and information to improve their workflow and to make informed decisions about the MTCC."

"The new site will provide a robust and flexible infrastructure that will allow MTCC to extend their online customer interaction in the future," says Arntfield. Field Day will develop a content management system that will allow the MTCC to easily update the site via an intuitive web interface.

"We chose Field Day based on their experience, expertise, commitment, and enthusiasm," says Bill McDonald, Director of Technology Services at the MTCC.

Field Day's experience in strategic marketing and website development for the hospitality industry was a factor in their selection. Field Day currently works with Famous Players to develop marketing plans and tactics for its corporate products and services, including theatre rentals. As well, Field Day developed the website for Toronto's Air Canada Centre: www.theaircanadacentre.com.

Field Day's other clients include Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, Molson Sports & Entertainment, the Mighty Ducks/Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim, and Brookfield Properties.
